“David and Kyle helped me move again and we exceptional. Highly recommended; they went above and beyond and even helped move a troublesome couch Thanks again !”
A local move in Kansas City is rarely just “point A to point B.” The century homes around Brookside and Waldo come with narrow back staircases, deep front porches, and no driveway, so the truck parks on the street and we carry. The Plaza and Crossroads buildings have loading-dock hours and tight freight elevators. Our movers grew up working these exact addresses, and we plan the route, the parking, and the protection before the ramp comes down.
Two pricing options, both honest. You can book hourly when the job is simple, or lock a flat band when you’d rather know the total in advance. Either way the pads, dollies, hand tools, and shrink wrap are included, and we put it in writing.
What a Kansas City move actually costs
Our hourly rate covers the crew, the truck, and all the moving gear, with no surprise equipment fees. Most studios and one-bedrooms in KC fit comfortably inside a flat band.
| Home size | Flat-price band |
|---|---|
| Studio | $320–$520 |
| 1-bedroom | $540–$880 |
| 2-bedroom | $920–$1,480 |
| 3-bedroom | $1,560–$2,400 |
| 4-bedroom house | $2,200–$3,300 |
Prefer hourly? A 2-mover crew with a truck is $129/hr; a 3-mover crew is $169/hr. A $99 deposit locks your date and comes straight off the total.
What’s NOT included
So there are no awkward moments on the day, here’s what falls outside a standard local rate:
- Boxing up your belongings; that’s our separate full-pack or partial-pack service.
- Pianos, gun safes, and other specialty items (from $329, planned ahead).
- Disposal or donation runs, and disconnecting appliances or wall-mounted TVs.
- Long carries or stair fees stacked on quietly. We factor the porch steps and street parking into the written quote instead.
Built for Missouri weather
Hot, humid summers and icy winters are hard on floors and furniture. We bring floor runners, door-jamb pads, and extra wrap, and we keep moving in the heat by rotating the crew and hydrating, so your June move doesn’t slow down because the thermometer hit 95. Every shipment carries up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage, with $0.60/lb released value standard and full-value protection available if you want it.
